Cameron Smith had quite the outfit during Wednesday’s practice round at The Masters. Smith will aim for his first green jacket this weekend.

This seems to be a new fashion statement from Smith, who sported a hat, his famous mustache and long hair and, wait for it, a suit. Well, at least a suit jacket or blazer.

No, we’re not kidding. Smith went completely old school, like he was Harry Vardon or someone from pre-1920s golf. You can see the pictures of Smith below at Augusta National.,

Smith’s best finish at The Masters was a tied-for-second finish at the 2020 edition, which was held in November due to COVID-19. He does have a major championship to his name, the 2022 Open Championship.

With six PGA Tour wins to his name, Smith looks for the biggest win of his career this weekend. As it stands right now, Smith is listed at 60-1 odds to win The Masters.

Perhaps his new outfit will give him special powers or good luck this weekend. He might need it!

Smith’s outfit certainly set social media ablaze. It’s ironic considering the latest news with Jason Day and his outfits on the golf course.

His outfits will be significantly toned down at this year’s Masters at Augusta National Golf Club. Last year, Day’s Malbon fit included a bold sweater vest and baggy parachute pants which sparked headlines and discussion on social media.

In an effort to avoid that this time around, Augusta National asked Day to see his scripting for this year’s tournament, which begins Thursday. Day made the reveal during an appearance on the “Dan on Golf” show.

“If they would have let us do what we first put the scripting through to them, it would have been a lot crazier than last year, but you know it’ll be toned down, just because they have a little bit more, they asked to see the scripting before,” Day said. “They never asked to see scripting of mine because I’ve always been pretty neutral and down the middle, and this year they asked because obviously what happened last year.”

Day, 37, finished T30 in last year’s Masters. But the only thing anyone wanted to talk about was his look created by lifestyle brand Malbon. Augusta National, in particular, took issue with the sweater he wore during Friday’s round. They asked Day to remove it, which he did.

“Respectfully, you do that because it’s all about the tournament here, and I understand that. I respect the tournament. That’s what we’re here to do is try and play and win the green jacket,” Day said, via Golf.com.
