Carolina Panthers' Bank of America Stadium practically empty at halftime of Falcons game
Not too many folks in Charlotte, North Carolina, decided to show up to Bank of America Stadium Sunday to watch the Week 15 game between the Carolina Panthers (2-12) and Atlanta Falcons (6-8).
By the time halftime came, those who braved out of the rainy conditions either went for cover or gave up completely on attempting to witness the Panthers going for their second victory of the season.
To be fair to Panthers fans, there wasn’t much incentive for them to get to the stadium Sunday with rain in the forecast and Carolina sitting at the bottom of the NFL. But to the team’s credit, they didn’t exactly roll over.

Fans who opted to stay home missed a Panthers victory courtesy of a game-winning field goal from Eddy Piniero. A reminder: Tickets to attend were going for as low as $5 Sunday morning on Ticketmaster. Those who cashed in on that incredible offer went home happy.
The 9-7 victory is Carolina’s first since the end of October and since the firing of head coach Frank Reich last month.
