It’s the battle of the rookie quarterbacks when the Panthers meet the Titans. But Tennessee quarterback Will Levis will throw against a depleted Carolina secondary.

The Panthers released their final injury report before Sunday’s road game against the Titans. And in doing so, the team confirmed that cornerback Jaycee Horn (hamstring) won’t be leaving injured reserve this week He participated in all three practices this week, but was limited in each. In addition, the Panthers aren’t activating safety Jeremy Chinn (quad) or edge rusher Yetur Gross-Matos (hamstring).

Plus, the report listed cornerback CJ Henderson as doubtful against Tennessee. He practiced all three days, but still is in concussion protocol. It’s also much the same for tight end Hayden Hurst. He’s in concussion protocol, but didn’t practice any days this week. The Panthers list him as out.

Meanwhile, safety Sam Franklin (quad), linebacker Marquis Haynes (back), and linebacker Frankie Luvu (shoulder) are questionable.

There is some better news on the injury report. Quarterback Bryce Young will drop off the report for the Titans. He has no injury designation for the game. Young, the top pick of this year’s draft, was dealing with a thigh injury. But he went through full practices all three days this week. Offensive tackle Taylor Moton also is expected to play. He missed Wednesday’s workout, but had two full days of practices Thursday and Friday.

It’s safe to say that both teams are in desperate need of a victory. The Panthers have won one time this season. The Titans are 3-7. Young and Levis were amongst the top quarterbacks in the NFL draft and the SEC. But Sunday will be the first time the two have faced each other.
