Carolina had a lot of changes to make on their coaching staff this offseason. Now, another one of those spots has been filled as they’ve named Ejiro Evero as their next defensive coordinator.

Evero is the latest addition to Frank Reich’s new staff in Charlotte. The franchise announced the hire of the former DC of the Denver Broncos earlier on Sunday afternoon.

In his one season in Denver, Evero coached the Broncos to be a Top-15 defense in the NFL. His resume also includes stops with the Rams, Packers, 49ers, and Buccaneers.

Before being named as defensive coordinator, Evero was interviewed by the franchise previously to be their head coach. With connections to the franchise and Reich, though, he became a natural option to their staff in a smaller, yet still very important, role.

Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs brought his sticky hands to the Pro Bowl flag football game and used them against his own brother. The 2021 NFL interceptions leader easily sniffed out a backward pass from Trevor Lawerence to Stefon Diggs and picked off his brother’s attempted touchdown pass to Lawrence.

The AFC and NFC were all tied up after a touchdown from tight end T.J. Hockenson, but Stefon Diggs got the last laugh, scoring on the ensuing drive to put the NFC back on top.

Overall in the Pro Bowl Games, the AFC and NFC each have 12 points. The current flag football game is worth another six points, but there’s one more to go on Sunday before the ultimate winner is decided.

There were doubts that the NFL could generate interest for the Pro Bowl after switching formats for 2023 but so far, it’s yielded nothing but hilarity and highlights from some of the league’s biggest personalities.

The Cowboys’ Diggs is playing in the second Pro Bowl game of his career, while the Bills’ Diggs, five years Trevon’s senior, is playing in his third.
