Carolina Panthers Inactive List: Latest on Jonathon Brooks' status vs. Giants
The Carolina Panthers released their inactive list ahead of Week 10’s matchup against the New York Giants in Munich, Germany.
Seven players are inactive for Carolina on Sunday, including that of rookie running back Jonathon Brooks. That means the former Texas standout will have to wait at least two weeks to make his NFL debut after tearing his ACL last November.
Below are the full inactive players list for both the Panthers and Giants:
Panthers:
- S Jammie Robinson
- RB Jonathon Brooks
- CB Shemar Bartholomew
- OLB Charles Harris
- LT Ikem Ekwonu
- TE Tommy Tremble
- DT Jaden Crumedy
Giants:
- WR Darius Slayton
- S Jason Pinnock
- WR Bryce Ford-Wheaton
- LB Darius Muasau
- DL Jordon Riley
- OL Jake Kubas
- QB Tommy DeVito
Additionally, outside linebacker DJ Wonnum is will make debut after being left off the inactives list against the Giants and wide receiver Adam Thielen will also be returning from injury.
The decision to hold Brooks out comes after news came out that the second-round draft pick was reportedly set to make his NFL debut on Sunday. He returned to practice in late October and all signs appeared to be pointing to him suiting up.
However, the Panthers appear to be in no rush getting him on the field and want him to be 100% before playing his first NFL snaps.

Many fans are eager to see what Brooks is capable of their newest running back. Before tearing his ACL during his last season at Texas, he rushed for 1,139 yards and 10 touchdowns across 11 games. He was the highest-drafted running back during the 2024 NFL Draft despite Carolina knowing he would miss the bulk of the season while recovering.
In the meantime, Carolina recently signed running back Chubba Hubbard to a four-year, $33.2 million contract extension. He’s been the driving force of the Panthers offense down the stretch this season.
Kickoff between the Panthers and Giants is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. ET and will air live on the NFL Network.
