Bryce Young remained on top, being the first overall pick of the 2023 NFL Draft. It adds to the lengthy lists of accomplishments, including a No. 2 ranking coming out of high school and winning the Heisman Trophy. The Carolina Panthers are putting the future of their franchise into the hands out Young, hoping to get back to winning ways.

Young has already gotten on the field, participating in rookie minicamps. However, he has been wearing a red non-contact jersey the entire time. Nobody has seen Young in a legit Carolina uniform that he will be wearing on Sundays.

Until now.

The Panthers posted photos of Young in the team’s black jersey, giving him the No. 1. Young has sported the number for some time now, dating back to his time at Mater Dei High School. Of course, he wore it while at Alabama and has had nothing but success.

Hopefully, the same happens for him in Carolina. Young is going to be the Panthers’ key to getting back to competing for a Super Bowl.

You can check out the full photos of Young wearing No. 9 here.

Young is going to be wearing Carolina’s white jersey a ton during his rookie year. The Panthers also have one in blue, while the black is considered an alternate. We will get a few different looks of Young in multiple uniforms throughout the 2023 season.

Bryce Young looking for successful rookie season

Carolina is not going to immediately have Young enter training camp as the starter. However, you would have to think by the time Week 1 comes along, he will be under center. Too much draft capital was traded away to not have your first overall pick thrown into the fire.

Young is expected to make his NFL debut on Sept. 10 at 1 p.m. ET, facing off against the Atlanta Falcons on the road. There will be a few other notable games throughout the season, as everyone in the NFL follows along.

Houston will come to town on Oct. 29, with Young facing off against No. 2 overall pick CJ Stroud. The two never battled in college, despite playing for elite programs. Now, we will get to see Stroud vs. Young played at the highest level.

If Young can produce a rookie season like anything he did during his time in Tuscaloosa, the Panthers will be feeling good about their pick.
