The Carolina Panthers and New Orleans Saints have released their respective inactives list ahead of Sunday’s season finale. The Week 18 matchup features two divisional foes with no playoff implications. These teams will simply be getting the final reps of the 2022-2023 season in and call it a year.

Carolina had no injury designations prior to the inactives list’s release, most of which saw the players be labeled questionable or no designation at all. The Saints weren’t so lucky. CB Paulson Adebo (hamstring) and OG Andrus Peat (ankle) were ruled out prior to Sunday.

If the Atlanta Falcons lose to the divison-winning Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the winner of this game will finish second in the division to end the year. Regardless of the lack of playoff implications, if the Saints win and Falcons end up upsetting Tampa, the Saints would finish the season with the same record as the Bucs. The Bucs two-game sweep of New Orleans are now proving to be the two biggest wins of their season.

Still, the Saints and Panthers are both eliminatede from playoff contention, so neither team has anything to lose. It wouldn’t be suprising to see the head coaches do some tinkering with the lineups throughout.
