A rough pit stop for Carson Hocevar. He had to drive around Ty Gibbs to exit his stall and was more than upset on his radio afterward. Today has been all about pit road.

Carson Hocevar has been running so well this season. In his sophomore year, he is showing that he belongs in the NASCAR Cup Series.

After losing spots because he couldn’t get around the 54 car, Hocevar was losing it. He had to restart P23. This is what he had to say on the radio.

“Exactly what I was f*cking afraid of, what the f*ck?! I was as hard right as I could f*cking go. Ugh,” Hocevar said, via Davey Segal.

Things didn’t stop with one incident. Cody Ware had a flat tire soon after. Under caution, most of the field pit and took tires. Carson Hocevar spun Ty Gibbs around on pit road and had damage to the front of his car.

Once again, Hocevar was FUMING on the radio. Hocevar had just gone from P23 to P13. He went back on there to vent more about Gibbs.

“God f*cking damn it!” Hocevar said, via Segal again. There was more.

“That’s f*cking…you might as well just take four…I have right front damage and I have left front. I’ll come in and fix the f*cking thing,” Hocevar said, via Jeff Gluck of The Athletic.

Things are getting difficult for this team. However, they have shown they have a fast piece. If this team rallies for another top-10 finish it will be a monumental effort.

No matter his final result, Carson Hocevar has made himself known this season. He has been qualifying so well lately. That hasn’t always added up to great finishes, though. With these pit road issues, he will struggle to have another finish to show for how well he’s been racing.

This race is getting very interesting. We have seen a few drivers go from the rear to the front. Christopher Bell is working on doing that for the second time this evening. There are going to be more cautions and more issues on pit road before this race is over, though.

So far, Kyle Larson has been great. He looks like the car to beat. There is little standing in his way right now other than his own mistakes should they happen. We have seen drivers make mistakes and pit crews make a few as well. Anything can happen.
