Carson Hocevar perfectly sums up Las Vegas pit road drama with Ty Gibbs with hilarious clip

The weekend for Carson Hocevar definitely could have gone better. He won’t be having beers with Ty Gibbs any time soon, either. Multiple times on Sunday, Hocevar had issues with his NASCAR rival in the 54 car.
Carson Hocevar was having issues getting out of his pit stall. Ty Gibbs was in front of him and was struggling all day long. No matter what Hocevar did, it seemed like Gibbs was always right there in the way.
Today, Hocevar summed up his time at Las Vegas very well. Just watch for yourself.
Carson Hocevar has opened a lot of eyes this season with his driving. Almost winning at Atlanta, Hocevar drew the ire of veteran drivers for being overly aggressive. However, Spire Motorsports keeps showing up with fast cars and he keeps putting them in a good position.
The only issues this season have been with finishes. Hocevar has to close out these races when he runs in the top 10 or better. If not, he will leave a ton of points on the board this year and that could come back to bite him in the end.
Despite running well during the early stages of the race, Hocevar struggled. His run-ins on pit road with Gibbs were the main reason. A P30 finish is not going to cut it for this group.

Carson Hocevar won’t give up an inch on the track
Spire Motorsports has entered a new era. Getting rid of Corey LaJoie at the end of last season was the right move. Michael McDowell, Justin Haley, and Carson Hocevar give them three drivers capable of performing now and in the future.
McDowell showed it on Saturday. The 71 team went out and won the pole at Las Vegas. That is the first pole ever for Spire in the Cup Series. That’s major.
As for Hocevar, it comes down to the finish. Can he run up front all afternoon and walk away with the finish he deserves? We know that he isn’t going to give an inch on the track. Aggression is what separates drivers in these Next Gen cars. Hocevar has plenty of it.
While the finishes aren’t there this season, Carson Hocevar isn’t going away. He will likely be a thorn in the side of veteran drivers all season long. As the new kid on the block, he has to earn his place in the series and carve out his own space.
