The 2023 NFL regular season continues to inch closer. Further evidence of kickoff approaching surfaced on Monday, when CBS Sports revealed the list of broadcasters for the upcoming year.

It’s no surprise that the lead team consists of Jim Nantz, Tony Romo and Tracy Wolfson yet again this season. That trio is considered one of the best in NFL coverage across any network.

The group enters its seventh season working together and will be working Super Bowl LVIII. It marks the third time that team has covered a Super Bowl.

A look at the other broadcast teams for the 2023 NFL season:

  • Ian Eagle, Charles Davis & Evan Washburn
  • Kevin Harlan, Trent Green & Melanie Collins
  • Andrew Catalon, Tiki Barber, Matt Ryan & AJ Ross
  • Spero Dedes & Adam Archuleta
  • Tom McCarthy, James Lofton & Jay Feely
  • Chris Lewis, Jason McCourty & Ross Tucker

Beth Mowins will cover play-by-play duties for select games throughout the year and Gene Steratore will return as the rules analyst for CBS.

Additional game reporters include: Amanda Renner, Aditi Kinkhabwala, Tiffany Blackmon, Amanda Guerra and Justin Walters.

“The 2023 NFL On CBS schedule begins on Sunday, Sept. 10 and is available to viewers across the country on the CBS Television Network and will stream live on Paramount+ to subscribers, who can watch NFL On CBS games that are broadcast in their local market,” the network said in a release.

What about other NFL coverage?

CBS Sports seems to have its NFL coverage situation figured out for the 2023 season. And while ESPN has its game coverage solidified, it’s still waiting to name a host of Monday Night Countdown … apparently.

It was recently reported that the network tabbed Scott Van Pelt as the next host of the program. However, in an appearance on The Dan Patrick Show, SVP denied the rumors.

“It was reported that I was the guy. And other than me not having been offered the job or accepting a job I haven’t been offered, it was spot on,” Van Pelt said. “God, that was weird. I mean, you read things and you’re like, ‘Whoa, whoa.’

“People were congratulating me! You hear an athlete or somebody in sports say, ‘Well, that’s just not true.’ And you kind of always think, ‘Sure it is.’ Well, this was a situation where something was reported about me, which was not accurate. Now, I don’t want to be coy and act like it couldn’t happen.”

It’s reported by The New York Post that ESPN is considering Laura Rutledge and Van Pelt for the position.
