CeeDee Lamb looking forward to MNF vs. rival Eagles
The Dallas Cowboys have potentially found their next great wide receiver in CeeDee Lamb.
On Monday night, Dallas will battle its first NFC East opponent of the season when it hosts the Philadelphia Eagles.
Lamb met with the media on Thursday and expressed his feelings about the matchup.
“It don’t get any better than that,” Lamb said. “It’s our first division game, home opener, night game, Monday night, and, of course, we got Dak [Prescott] back. So just very excited for all that’s in front of us. I can’t wait to see how we perform.”
The second-year wideout has had a strong outing in his first two games of the 2021 campaign. He has 15 catches for 185 yards and a touchdown.
Lamb says he is still good friends with Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts. The two played at Oklahoma together and the Cowboys wide receiver joked that he will be swapping jerseys with Hurts after the game, although apparently Hurts doesn’t know it yet.
Hurts has been impressive in his first season as the Eagles full-time starter. The former Oklahoma and Alabama dual-threat quarterback has 454 passing yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions after his first two starts.

CeeDee Lamb breaks down trick play vs. Chargers
The Dallas Cowboys almost pulled off some trickery at the end of the first half in last Sunday’s 20-17 win vs. the Los Angeles Chargers. As the second quarter came to an end, the Dallas ran one last play to try to find the end zone.
Here’s how second-year wide receiver CeeDee Lamb explained the wild series of events.
“I was initially supposed to run underneath, get the pass from Dak,” Lamb said.
The Dallas Cowboys’ emerging star continued to give keen insight into the play.
“I kinda improvised. He rolled out left. I matched his scramble rules. At that point, we’re just playing football,” he said. “I’m trying to get to the end zone. Its something that would’ve looked good, but it didn’t.”
The Dallas Cowboys (1-1) appear to be one of the more interesting storylines to follow this season, while the Eagles (1-1) are looking to bounce back after a tough home loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
