CeeDee Lamb injury update: Jeremy Fowler updates status of Cowboys WR, other stars
Dallas Cowboys star receiver CeeDee Lamb has been dealing with a back and foot injury this week. However, he is expected to be good to go when the Cowboys face the Washington Commanders on Sunday, according to ESPN insider Jeremy Fowler.
Fowler provided an update on Lamb and other Cowboys players Saturday morning on SportsCenter.
“Then you’ve got CeeDee Lamb. He had a bit of a back and foot issue this week, coming off of the Monday night game with Houston,” Fowler said. “Missed some practice time. But he was a full participant Friday. He is off the injury report.”
Lamb leads the Cowboys with 67 catches for 774 yards and four touchdowns on the season.
In addition to Lamb, the Cowboys appear set to get back a few other key pieces this weekend. Dallas is 3-7 on the year and has dropped five straight games. However, perhaps the Cowboys can get healthy, get a win streak going and potentially finish the season on a high note.
“Dallas is getting sneaky healthy. Maybe they can salvage the season,” Fowler said. “Brandin Cooks is back this week. Cornerback DaRon Bland will make his season debut. However, guard Zack Martin is out.”
Updates on other Cowboys stars
The Dallas Cowboys provided several other injury updates on their injury report on Friday. It revealed that tight end Jake Ferguson has been ruled out for the game against the Washington Commanders. Meanwhile, cornerback Trevon Diggs is questionable.

Ferguson hasn’t participated in practice this week after suffering a concussion in the first half of the Cowboys’ 34-10 loss to the Houston Texas on Sunday. Before leaving the game, Ferguson recorded one catch for 11 yards.
Ferguson is the Cowboys’ third-leading receiver this season, boasting 43 receptions for 369 yards. He hasn’t hauled in a touchdown yet in the 2024 campaign.
Diggs suffered groin and knee injuries against the Texans and has been limited at practice this week but has gradually shown signs of improvement.
