CeeDee Lamb injury update: NFL insider reveals why Cowboys WR left Giants game
Dallas Cowboys star receiver CeeDee Lamb left Thursday’s game against the New York Giants in the third quarter and did not return. No reason was given for Lamb leaving the game, but Fox Sports sideline reporter Erin Andrews provided some insight into why he left as the final minutes ticked off the clock.
According to Andrews, CeeDee Lamb landed hard on his shoulder during the game. He was already dealing with a shoulder injury coming into the game, and she believes that’s why he was on the sideline for most of the second half.
Here is the full update from Erin Andrews on CeeDee Lamb:
“Well, coming into this game, CeeDee Lamb was dealing with an AC joint injury. He’s banged up,” Andrews said. “I talked to him this week. He said, ‘Look, this has been a tough year. I am very, very banged up.’ We saw him fall right there, but Dallas isn’t saying he’s out for any particular reason. But you guys know it, Tom [Brady] knows it better than anyone. This is the time of year where guys are hurting.”
CeeDee Lamb had two catches for 39 yards against the Giants prior to leaving the game. Despite not getting much production from their star receiver, the Cowboys still earned a 27-20 victory over the Giants.

The Cowboys improved to 5-7 with the win, while the Giants fell to 2-10. Dallas has now won back-to-back games after dropping five straight earlier in the season.
Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons believes Dallas is getting hot at the right time and will be dangerous down the stretch.
“To be honest, it’s really been why not us?” Parsons said after the game. “Everybody counted us out. And it was just like, enough’s enough. We know what we’ve got. We know what we can do here. And I believe in every one of these guys. I believe we’re going to turn it around and make a run.”
