The Dallas Cowboys got their first points of the game after a wild tackle on star receiver CeeDee Lamb failed to bring him to the ground. Dallas was facing a third-and-long situation within field goal range, and Dak Prescott targeted Lamb on a crossing route underneath the defense to keep a field goal as an option — before Lamb finished a strange and athletic play with the first touchdown of the game.

Wearing the No. 88 jersey for Dallas means having to make big-time plays, and Lamb got a little help with that task on Sunday night. Despite the throw being well short of the first-down marker, Lamb made an athletic play as he was dragged down to the ground. Lamb’s rear landed on the tackler’s arm and never contacted the ground, as he spun over the defender’s body and ran in for the easy score while the Colts looked confused.

The play was reviewed to ensure that Lamb had never gone down, and replay confirmed the wild situation. Lamb’s body never went to the ground and Dallas took a 7-3 lead over the Colts on Sunday Night Football.
