CeeDee Lamb and the Dallas Cowboys finally got a deal done on Monday afternoon. After months of knowing a contract extension was required, even having a training camp holdout in there, Lamb became the second-highest-paid non-QB in the NFL. A historic deal on multiple fronts.

Fans had been begging Lamb and Jerry Jones to come to an agreement over the past few weeks. So with Lamb officially signed, he decided to send a message out to Cowboys Nation on social media.

Lamb promised to keep the touchdowns coming as long as the support continued, no matter the city Dallas is playing in.

“What’s up, Cowboy Nation?” Lamb said. “It’s your boy, he’s back in the building. I’m happy, happy to be back. Can’t wait to see y’all at home, away, wherever. I know we travel well. Go nuts every game. Plenty of touchdowns and a lot more of that coming. Love y’all.”

Dallas has locked up their star wide receiver for at least the next four seasons, paying him a pretty penny over the contract. Lamb will be making $136 million with a signing bonus of $38 million — the largest handed out to anybody at the position.

A former first-round pick of the Cowboys, Lamb spent his college days with the Oklahoma Sooners. Since arriving ahead of the 2020 season, Lamb has been one of the top players in the NFL. Last season saw him lead the league in receptions with 135 while adding 1,749 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Offensive Player of the Year voting saw Lamb finish third, only behind Christian McCaffery and Tyreek Hill. Even with no training camp under his belt, Dallas fully expects Lamb to maintain his high level of play, showing confidence with the contract extension.

Lamb was back at The Star in Frisco on Tuesday, working out with the team. Head coach Mike McCarthy says Lamb will be in “ramp-up mode” this week with his return to Dallas.

“I think, number-one, it was great to get the contract in place and obviously have him back,” McCarthy said. “The schedule we have for the week frankly fits into a ramp-up mode. We don’t have to do a whole lot of adjusting but we have a plan for him. When I have time to sit down with CeeDee, that will be something we go through.”
