Delfonte Diamond has become a renowned NFL trainer, helping stars like CeeDee Lamb of the Cowboys cultivate their skillset. However, he was arrested and sentenced to 25 years in Texas confinement for aggravated sexual assault of a child, Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported on Friday.

“Renowned NFL trainer Delfonte Diamond has been sentenced to 25 years in Texas confinement for aggravated sexual assault of a child,” Harris posted on X. “Diamond — a nephew of Karl Malone — trained dozens of NFL players, including Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb while he was holding out last offseason.”

In addition to Lamb, Diamond has trained a number of other NFL wide receivers. Some of the names include Keon Coleman of the Bills, Stefon Diggs of the Patriots and Tank Dell of the Texans, among many more.

More on CeeDee Lamb, Dallas Cowboys

Meanwhile, CeeDee Lamb helped open up some cap space for the Cowboys this offseason. The star wide receiver restructured his contract to give Dallas an extra $20 million to work with. Some free agency signings are needed, so this was a little bit of capital for the franchise.

Lamb was asked on social media why he decided to help the Cowboys out. His answer was a simple one — saying the goal is to win. If Dallas is going to be a contender for the 2025 season and beyond, Lamb understands more than just himself is needed: “I want to win,” Lamb said via X. “It’s gonna take more than just myself.”

While plenty of people retweeted Lamb, one in particular stood out. Micah Parsons appears to share the same sentiment as No. 88. Parsons is going to be next up for a massive extension from the Cowboys and has stated multiple times he does not want negotiations to drag on.

Lamb signed a four-year, $136 million contract with Dallas just before the regular season began. He did miss most of training camp due to a holdout but still played in the Week 1 game against Cleveland. Some thought there might be a slow start but overall, Lamb still had a great year.

For the fourth straight season, Lamb surpassed the century mark with 1,194 yards and six touchdowns on 101 receptions. Most of this was with Cooper Rush playing quarterback too after Dak Prescott went down with an injury.
