Chandler Smith reveals plans to drive in 2025 NASCAR season

After weighing whether or not he would work construction next year, Chandler Smith has landed a deal for the 2025 NASCAR season. Smith has not shared the details of his plans for next season, but he will be racing.

Matt Weaver of Sportsnaut spoke with Chandler Smith as the driver prepares for the Snowball Derby. Smith informed Weaver that he has plans for 2025 after his season with Joe Gibbs Racing.

At 22 years old, Smith is one of the best young prospects in NASCAR. It is nice to hear he has a ride for next year.

“I have some exciting things going on next year,” Smith said to Weaver. “I have signed something and I think we’re going to share the news in the next couple of weeks.”

Chandler Smith was very serious about working construction. He has a wife and kids. This is more than just racing, it’s how he pays the bills. Without racing, he has to go find a new way to pay those bills.

“I really was preparing to go work for my dad and it wasn’t easy,” Smith continued. “But we serve a loving God that has a purpose and a plan and I have always tried to keep in mind that there are more important things than racing. But I am looking forward next season to showcasing that talent that I was blessed with and all glory to Him.”

It will be interesting to see where Smith ends up in 2025.

Chandler Smith: Where can he land for 2025?

Until we know more details, everything is just speculation. But off the top of my head, it’s hard to think about a good landing spot for Chandler Smith in 2025. Almost all of the good rides in the three national series have been taken.

Perhaps there is a team that made the funding work with Smith. Maybe he is running part-time here and there in a couple of cars. All I know is that Smith is a potential championship contender in the Truck and Xfinity Series if he is on the right team.

Someone is going to look smart when they put Smith in a car or truck and get results. Even though he has had the benefit of good equipment, Smith has always gotten the most out of his cars. He is a fast driver that can help a smaller team looking to build.
