Chandler Smith signs full-time deal with Front Row Motorsports for 2025 Truck Series season
Chandler Smith is on the move, folks! He won’t be swinging a hammer in 2025, he’s racing for Front Row Motorsports in 2025. Front Row has picked Smith up to drive a second entry in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.
Chandler Smith joins 2024 Rookie of the Year Layne Riggs at Front Row. This is the same organization that won the series championship in 2022 with Zane Smith. It looks like they will have two championship-worthy drivers.
It looked like all of the competitive rides were taken. But a talent like Smith has to be given an opportunity. Front Row felt like it would be a good investment to fund a second team for Smith and now we have the talented 22-year-old in NASCAR for another year.
Tough break for Chandler’s dad’s construction business. They missed out on a talent with this one.
This will be a return to the Truck Series after two seasons in the Xfinity Series. It also marks the third manufacturer in three years for Smith. Chevy with Kaulig, Toyota at Joe Gibbs, and now Ford with Front Row.
During his Truck Series stint at Kyle Busch Motorsports, Smith had a lot of success. He earned himself five wins in two full-time seasons. In 2022 he finished third overall in the championship.
That year, he won races at Las Vegas, Pocono, and Richmond. It is safe to say that Smith is much improved since his time at KBM. Smith posted 10 top-5 finishes in the final 12 races of the season. He had an average finish of 4.91 during that time, and also three pole awards.

Chandler Smith isn’t going to construction in 2025
When the season was coming to an end, Chandler Smith had no idea what he was doing in 2025. Joe Gibbs Racing was moving on to a new batch of young drivers. While he has talent, Smith doesn’t carry the funding other drivers carry, although he does have more than others.
It looked like Smith was in between a rock and a hard place. He genuinely believed he might have to take a job at his dad’s construction company to pay the bills. Smith and his wife Kenzie have two kids at home.
Front Row Motorsports may have just made the signing of the offseason in the Truck Series. Smith instantly becomes a favorite to win the championship. The battles between him and Corey Heim in 2025 are going to be epic.
Nothing is guaranteed but I’d be shocked if Chandler Smith didn’t win multiple races in 2025. He should step into this Front Row truck and be strong from the start.
