Chase Briscoe, wife Marissa expecting twins
This was a pretty good weekend for Chase Briscoe. Another top-10 finish and he and his wife announced they are expecting twins. Briscoe and his wife Marissa already have one future NASCAR driver, but two more are on the way later this year.
Brooks is about to be a big brother. His new siblings should be arriving around the same time as his third birthday, what a gift that will be. Chase and Marissa Briscoe shared the news on social media ahead of the NASCAR weekend.
Lots to be excited about in that family.
At Martinsville, Chase Briscoe talked to the media about the announcement.
“There’s not very many things in life that compare to the doctor being like, ‘Oh by the way there’s two.’ Like that is something, when you hear it just hits different than a lot of other things in life,” Briscoe said, via Bob Pockrass FOX Sports. “It’s really cool, it’s exciting. I’m like super excited truthfully. I am scared at the same time but I had made up in my mind that I was ready for the adjustment from one to two but jumping from one straight to three is definitely going to be a lot. But yeah we’ll get through it. I’m excited.
“It’s definitely going to be a lot but luckily her due date is in October so we’ll kind of be at the tail end of the season and I’ll be home for a couple of months to try to kind of help around. So, yeah it’s going to be a lot though… I’m excited though for sure.”
Stewart-Haas Racing had a good weekend overall. It may have meant a little more to Briscoe, though.

Chase Briscoe earns third top-10 of the season
Now, SHR isn’t contending for wins yet. But they aren’t floundering, either. Chase Briscoe has been leading the charge this season with a few solid runs on the year. Martinsville was his third top-10 of the season and his first one since Phoenix.
While Briscoe has yet to crack the top-5, he just needs to build confidence. You could argue that he’s off to a better start this season than he was at this point a year ago. I’m not sure if we are going to see Stewart-Haas reach victory lane this season, but it’s nice that they aren’t completely laying over.
The organization has a contract option after this season on Briscoe’s contract. So, he could be contending for an extension this season, not just checkered flags and a playoff spot. Stewart-Haas is also rumored to be in the market to sell a charter or two after this year.
Chase Briscoe just needs to keep doing what he does. Contend on the short tracks and superspeedways, and hope that you come out with a win at some point.
