Chase Young injures leg, leaves game against Buccaneers
While the scoreboard may be in the favor of the Washington Football Team, their hearts are in their throats. Shortly after wide receiver Terry McLaurin left the game with an injury, star defensive end Chase Young was carried off the field.
“The cart is coming out for Chase Young,” tweeted NFL Network’s Kim Jones. “Ugh. FedEx Field is silent.
“.. Chase Young’s right leg is being attended to. He appears to be in pain. He was helped off the field and to locker room. Did not use cart. Just awful.”
Young was able to be helped to his feet, and carried off the field instead of carted. Still, it’s a disheartening scene in Washington.
Now, Young has been ruled out for the remainder of the game, according to ESPN’s John Keim.
After a phenomenal rookie season, Young has been in the midst of a sophomore slump. Still, he’s arguably Washington’s best defensive player — his loss would be huge.

Chase Young, Terry McLaurin injured
Washington Football Team wide receiver Terry McLaurin left Sunday’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers due to an injury. McLaurin took a big hit on a Washington possession, and he left the game and went to the locker room following that series.
Shortly after McLaurin went to the locker room, he was deemed questionable to return with a collarbone injury. He had two receptions for nine yards before leaving the game.
Washington’s offense has been very inconsistent this year with Taylor Heinicke under center, leading to mixed results for McLaurin. Entering Sunday’s game, McLaurin had 43 receptions for 573 yards and four touchdowns. He has three 100-yard receiving games, making up the majority of his production on the year.
