Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid dressed up as Santa Claus after his team defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers on Christmas Day. Reid said while talking to the players, “For the present, you get home-field advantage.”

Andy Reid is no stranger to dressing up as Santa Claus after a big Chiefs win. In 2017 when the Chiefs clinched the AFC West, the three-time Super Bowl champion head coach was in full Santa gear to celebrate the team’s second-consecutive division title on Christmas Eve.

But Reid also channels his Christmas spirit with reporters as he dressed as St. Nick during a press conference. “It’s part of the energy that he brings every single day (that) gets guys through it,” Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes told The Kansas City Star in 2021.

It’s no surprise Reid is having a lot of fun since he’s won three Super Bowls with the Chiefs and has led the team to the No. 1 seed in the AFC side of the playoffs. The Chiefs aim to be the first team in NFL history to win three consecutive Super Bowls.

Andy Reid is loving his run with the Chiefs

There’s a good chance Reid could win more Super Bowls with the Chiefs before he calls it a career. During the offseason, Reid signed a contract extension with Kansas City that keeps him the head coach through the 2029 season.

“I’m incredibly grateful to (chairman and CEO) Clark (Hunt) and the entire Hunt family for giving me the opportunity to lead this historic franchise,” Reid said in a statement released by the team. “Over the last 11 years, Tammy and I have enjoyed calling Kansas City our home. The community has embraced us, we’ve watched our family grow, including having all 12 grandkids during our time here. On the field, there have been so many people that have contributed to our success and Super Bowls, and I’m grateful to the players, coaches and staff that have all invested their time into this process. I’d also like to thank my agent, Bob LaMonte. Chiefs Kingdom is a special place and I’m blessed to have the opportunity to be here.”
