Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes had the perfect clap back for Ja’Marr Chase after the Bengals receiver downplayed his resume. Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow made headlines when he said Patrick Mahomes was inarguably the best quarterback in the world.

Reporters told Chase what Burrow said, to which he responded: “Pat Who?

Receiving his second Super Bowl ring this week, Mahomes tweeted a photo from the ring celebration with both rings on his hand a caption that read: “That’s Who.”

Chase, who is now going on Year 3 with the Bengals, unequivocally stated that his quarterback is the best in the league.

“Joe Burrow. Everybody knows that, yea. That’s easy. MVP,” Chase said.

To get his second ring, Mahomes and the Chiefs toppled Cincinnati with a 23-20 victory in the conference championship.

Mahomes celebrates second Super Bowl ring

Mahomes capped off his sixth year in the NFL with his second Super Bowl championship. The only quarterback to top 5,000 passing yards in the regular season, the former Texas Tech star also added another 703 passing yards in the postseason.

Mahomes had 41 passing touchdowns in the regular season and another seven on his way to winning it all. Although he had 12 interceptions through the year, he cleaned it up during the playoffs and didn’t record a single one.

The 27-year-old’s accuracy was as high as it’s ever been in his career in 2022. He posted a completion percentage of 67.1% and bumped it up to 72% in the postseason.

Unlike Joe Burrow, Mahomes had a season to acclimate to the league before taking over as the Chiefs’ starter in 2018. His first season starting revealed his potential to be the best quarterback in the country when he passed for 5,097 yards and 50 touchdowns.

The Tyler, Texas, native is the youngest player to ever win a league MVP and a Super Bowl title. Additionally, he became the fastest QB in NFL history to reach 10,000 career passing yards.

In Pro Football Focus’s quarterback rankings for the 2023 season, Mahomes is, unsurprisingly, No. 1. Following the Super Bowl MVP are Bills quarterback Josh Allen and Burrow.

Earning $45 million a year in his contract, Mahomes is a busy man, traveling the world. This offseason, Mahomes was at the F1 Grand Prix in Miami. Just before that, he gave the iconic “Riders up!” call at the Kentucky Derby. On top of all that, the Mahomes welcomed their second child and are selling their house in Kansas City for $3 million.
