Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes reveals Taylor Swift is drawing up plays: 'Might have to put one in'
Taylor Swift is a talented singer. That we know, yes, but it appears she’s taking up a new hobby in her free time.
Perhaps it has something to do with her relationship with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, but Swift is now drawing up her own football plays, according to quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Speaking with NBC Sports analyst Chris Simms, Mahomes mentioned the possibility of Kansas City installing one of Swift’s plays into the playbook.
“I think it’s been cool to see the girls and the women that have really embraced watching football,” Mahomes said, via Kevin Patra of NFL.com. “I know being a girl dad, how cool it is for me to see like these little girls — these daughters — and how much they’re loving to spend time with their dad, watching football. And then meeting Taylor, realizing how genuine and cool she is. I think that’s been special to me because she’s, like you said, the most famous person in the world, she could not be [genuine].
“And she’s really interested in football, and she asks a lot of great questions. Started drawing up plays. We might have to put one in.”

Could a Taylor Swift drawn up play make it to Chiefs’ playbook?
While it might sound outrageous, head coach Andy Reid is famously known for taking ideas from just about anywhere. Reid revealed last season he once took a play from a janitor when he was an assistant for the Green Bay Packers from 1992-98. Reid thought it was pretty good, and later used it in a game.
“We moved one person but for the most part it was his play,” Reid said on the “Green Light with Chris Long” podcast, via The Kansas City Star. “We put it in and right before halftime, his family came down, they stayed on the sideline on the field. And we called the play just before halftime and it scored. And he starts hitting his wife and he’s going, ‘That’s my play! That’s my play!’ And she’s going, ‘Yeah, right. Yeah, sure it is.’ “We’ll take it from anywhere.”
Could Swift be next? Let’s just say that when it comes to Reid, never say never.
