Every single lap. Christian Eckes led all of the laps in the Rackley Roofing 200 to win in dominating fashion at Nashville Superspeedway. Three wins on the season for Eckes in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.

Christian Eckes was fantastic all night long. When the 19 team is clicking and firing on all cylinders, it is something to behold. When you talk about dominant wins, it doesn’t get more dominant than what we saw tonight from Eckes.

Right now, it feels like Corey Heim and Eckes are going to go wire-to-wire for this championship. Neither one of them can get the upper hand on the other, really. For tonight, Eckes is on top.

While everyone likes to talk about other drivers when it comes to Cup Series rides in the future, Eckes does not get mentioned nearly enough. He is the real deal.

This is the first time a driver has led every lap of a national series race since 2012.

Quick cautions, Christian Eckes gets the stage

On Lap 1 of the Rackley Roofing 200, we had the first caution flag. Dean Thompson was turned around by Mason Maggio and a few others were caught up in it as well. Just a tough break for a few drivers early on in this one.

It wasn’t long before another caution flag came out. Bret Holmes got into the wall. He had been involved in the first incident as well. Two cautions in the first 10 laps, but things did end up getting better at that point.

Once that second caution was all cleaned up, it was all Christian Eckes. He shot out to the front and didn’t look back. 45 laps in the first stage and Eckes didn’t show weakness on any of them.

Clint Bowyer had a hard time, though.

Stage 2 starts with headaches

How about another caution to stage the second stage? That is exactly what we got when the race returned from caution. It was caused when Chase Purdy failed to fire off quickly. The leaders also waited to go in the restart zone, causing more of a pileup.

Clint Bowyer was a victim in this incident. He slammed into the back of Purdy and took a ton of damage, not to mention lost track position on pit road.

Layne Riggs and Stefan Parsons late in the stage would get into it not once, not twice, but three times. On the third time, Riggs was able to spin Parsons out of his way. The stage ended and Christian Eckes won the stage. Riggs was then held for two laps to start the next stage for reckless driving.

Eckes brings it home

There really isn’t much else that you can say about this win other than it was dominant. Every single lap was led by Christian Eckes and he didn’t make it close, either. In the final stage there were moments where others like Daniel Dye, Rajah Caruth, and Corey Heim had to make moves and it didn’t matter.

At one point, Heim got within half a second of Eckes. That was likely the only time where he was challenged directly outside of a physical restart or two. The 19 truck was great and didn’t have any slips throughout the night.

So far this season, Eckes has failed to finish in the top-10 just once. It was a DNF at Atlanta. Other than that, it has been great finishes and wins. Bristol, Martinsville, and now, Nashville. Eckes is showing his versatility, too.

McAnally-Hilgemann Racing had a strong showing overall. Daniel Dye was P2 and Tyler Ankrum was P5. Overall, not a bad day for MHR in Music City.
