Christian Moore is already making his impression on the Los Angeles Angels’ organization.

On Wednesday, the former Tennessee star hit a walk-off home run for the Rocket City Trash Pandas, the Double-A affiliate of the Angels, to defeat the Birmingham Barons 7-5. He hammered a 1-0 count deep to right field for his fourth hit of the game, which happened to be the game-winner.

Watch the big-time hit below:

It’s been a fast start to the pro career of Moore, who was promoted to Double-A after two games at Single-A. There, he went 6 for 11 with one home run and six RBIs. The No. 8 pick in the 2024 MLB Draft, Moore has been lights-out since leaving Rocky Top earlier this summer.

Over the weekend, Moore made his debut for the Trash Pandas, where he hit a home run in his first-ever Double-A game. He continued that effort on Wednesday to lead Rocket City to a win. He finished 4 for 5 with two home runs and three RBIs.

“It was really just knowing the plan,” Moore said in a postgame interview. “Just knowing there was a runner in scoring position, knowing what (the pitcher) wants to do in that situation, ride it and put a good swing on it.”

Moore finished his second game with the Trash Pandas with four hits. Of course, he received an ice bath for his efforts after reaching home plate.

“I’m cold right now,” he said. “I’m feeling good right now, though. I just want to thank all of those guys in that dugout right there for staying the course, staying in every inning and then right there having a chance to win it. And we did.”

Coming up clutch for his squad is nothing new for Moore, who helped Tennessee to the national title last season, hitting .375 with 34 home runs and 74 RBIs. He added 19 doubles and two triples to his totals to make him one of the most coveted players in this past draft cycle.

Trash Pandas play-by-play broadcaster Josh Caray put it simply:

Uhhhhhh, he’s good.”

The Trash Pandas and Barons will do battle three more times this series, first on Thursday and again on Friday, both with a 6:35 p.m. ET scheduled first pitch. Sunday’s game begins at 4:05 p.m. ET.

That means will be no shortage of Christian Moore highlights for Log Angeles Angels fans to consume over the next few days.
