Christian Rose, Conner Jones get into heated exchange at ARCA race in Indianapolis
ARCA Menards Series drivers Christian Rose and Conner Jones engaged in a heated exchange after Friday’s Reese’s 200 at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park.
Rose, clearly upset, had to be restrained by multiple officials as he attempted to get into Jones’ face.
Rose was dumped by Jones going into Turn 2 with 16 laps remaining, bringing out the caution flag in the process. The 28-year-old Rose, who sits fourth in the points standings and 112 points back of leader Jesse Love, rallied to pick up a P10 result. Jones, meanwhile, raced his way to a sixth place finish.
It was Love who picked up his seventh victory of the season and third straight — his second three-peat of the 2023 season. Love held off Luke Fenhaus to win at the 0.686-mile race track.
“This is such a phenomenal team,” Love told Jamie Howe of Fox Sports, via Frontstretch. “I think I did a great job at saving my stuff. But I think it came back to bite me when the No. 28 came by me. I thought he was scrubbing his tires really hard under yellow, with how hot they were. I let mine cool down, and it paid dividends.”

Jesse Love continues dominant season in ARCA Menards Series
Fenhaus, meanwhile, came away frustrated with his second place finish after a bad restart with 10 laps remaining resulted in him losing the lead to Love.
“We just got a bad restart,” Fenhaus said. “[Jesse] got a good jump on me and beat me into Turn 1. It was pretty much game over from there. A lot of work goes into these cars and we thrashed our butts off today. Coming from the back to finish second isn’t too bad, but it definitely stinks.”
Love, meanwhile, dedicated his latest ARCA Menards Series victory to a chapel member who lost his father earlier in the week.
“I dedicate this win to Dale Barker, who is our chapel member in the ARCA Menards Series,” Love said. “He lost his father this week and that’s tough. I can’t imagine something like that, so hats off to their family. This one is for them.”
