Christian Watson injury update: Packers WR carted off, questionable to return vs. Vikings
In the second quarter of the Packers’ showdown against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, Green Bay wide receiver Christian Watson left the game with an apparent ankle injury. Shortly after leaving the field, he was carted to the locker room.
According to the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Watson is questionable to return to the game. Before leaving the game, Watson was targeted once but was unable to haul in the catch.
Watson entered Sunday’s game with five receptions this season for 80 yards and a touchdown. He was pivotal in the Packers’ run to the NFL Playoffs last season, amassing 28 catches for 422 yards and five touchdowns in only nine appearances.
As of this report, the Vikings lead the Packers 21-0. Tune in to CBS to watch the Packers attempt to mount a comeback against their divisional rival.
Jordan Love returns to the field for the Packers
The Packers lost Christian Watson to injury on Sunday but they returned quarterback Jordan Love, who missed Green Bay’s past two games due to an MCL strain he suffered in the team’s Week 1 loss against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Before leaving the game against the Eagles, Love completed 17-of-34 pass attempts for 260 yards and two touchdowns while throwing one interception.
Of course, if Love tweaks his knee again versus the Vikings, the Packers should feel comfortable resting him. Since Love’s injury, the Packers are 2-0. Malik Willis started both games in Love’s absence. In his two starts, Willis tallied 324 passing yards and two scores while throwing zero interceptions.
Nonetheless, Packers fans hope to see their beloved QB look healthy on Sunday. After all, the Packers signed Love to a four-year, $220 million contract extension this summer that put him in a tie as the highest-paid player in NFL history.
