Christian Watson suffers hamstring injury vs. Chiefs, questionable to return
Packers receiver Christian Watson suffered a hamstring injury in Sunday night’s contest against the Kansas City Chiefs and left the game. He is questionable to return, Green Bay announced on Twitter.
The injury occurred late in the fourth quarter as Watson attempted to slow down and take a knee. He came down awkwardly with no contact and immediately grabbed for his right leg.
So far in the game, Watson had recorded seven catches for 71 yards and a pair of touchdowns. The Packers were holding on to a 24-19 lead with 3:16 remaining at the time of his exit. They went on to kick a field goal and increase the advantage to 27-19.
It’s been a solid second NFL season for Watson, whom Green Bay selected as a second-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. He entered Sunday’s game with 21 catches for 351 yards and three touchdowns. As a rookie in 2023, Watson finished the season with 41 catches for 611 yards and seven touchdowns.
Ultimately, Watson did not end up returning to the game, but the Packers still held on for the victory. They improved to 6-6 on the season with the win and have now won three straight.

Green Bay is also dealing with other injuries on offense as running back Aaron Jones (knee) missed Sunday’s contests. That being the case, the Packers will hope the injury to Christian Watson isn’t too serious as they aim to make a push to make the playoffs.
Jordan Love says Packers offense is feeling more comfortable
Jordan Love is 12 games into his first year as a starter for the Packers. And he picked up a signature win on Thanksgiving by beating the Lions in their rowdy den.
The Packers quarterback is using the c-word to describe it all. We’re not talking confidence. And in this case, comfortable is a very good thing. So is checkdown. Love might feel more comfortable heaving the ball for a gambling, long play, but he also now recognizes second and third reads.
“I feel like it’s just comfort, being comfortable in the pocket,” Love told reporters this week. “Obviously getting more reps, more reps, being comfortable with my reads. (And) understanding what the defense is doing, where I need to go with the ball and just growing and learning (from) every rep I get. And obviously learning from mistakes, learning from the good plays.”
It’s all why he’s thrown eight touchdown passes with no interceptions in his last three games.
