Christopher Bell feels 'dumb and stupid' for spoiling Chase Briscoe news
On Friday during his media availability, Christopher Bell made a big mistake when he leaked that Chase Briscoe is coming to Joe Gibbs Racing. The NASCAR garage has given him a hard time over it, too.
Many drivers have made jokes already. Kyle Larson joked that Chase Elliott was leaving for JGR. Christopher Bell mentioned “Chase” during an answer and it was all that he had to say.
For the last few weeks, Chase Briscoe has been rumored to be the leading candidate to replace Martin Truex Jr. at JGR. Now, we all but know that is exactly what is happening.
Asked if he thought it was funny, Bell was honest. He does not. But he’s glad everyone else is having fun.
“Uhh, no. I’m glad everyone’s laughing about it but I’m not laughing,” Bell said, via PRN. “I felt so incredibly dumb and stupid.”
Christopher Bell should take it easy on himself. The media has all but confirmed that Briscoe is going to be Bell’s teammate next season. It is all but official at this point. I’m sure his team didn’t want him to say what he said, but it isn’t the end of the world by any means.
Drivers are expected to withhold a lot of things. There are rumors and words all around the garage at any given time. Every now and again, a driver makes a mistake. It happens. Bell and Briscoe will be laughing about this one as they work together in 2025.

The good news for Christopher Bell, the NASCAR Cup Series is racing at New Hampshire. It is one of Bell’s best tracks.
Christopher Bell knows how to win at New Hampshire
Between the Truck Series, Xfinity Series and Cup Series, Christopher Bell has won at New Hampshire five times in his career. He has a win in all three series with three of those coming in the Xfinity Series alone. He won those three races three years in a row, too.
This weekend, Bell is running double duty in Xfinity and Cup. That means he has two great chances to win. There is something about these flat one-mile tracks like New Hampshire and Phoenix that Bell excels at.
When it comes to getting mechanical grip from this flat track, Bell is the best at it. As long as he has a car that can turn the corners and get straight quickly coming out of them, he is a threat to win, no matter the series.
Christopher Bell is being hard on himself for the Chase Briscoe thing. He has to get that out of his head and just focus on winning two races this weekend.
