In an epic battle down the stretch, Christopher Bell pulls off the win over William Byron and Tyler Reddick who made it very interesting in the end. Bell is the first NASCAR driver to earn two wins this season. Is this a sign of a huge season for the 20-team?

Winning two of the first three races of the season is a big deal. The last time someone won two in a row in the first three weeks was back in 2018 when Kevin Harvick won at Atlanta and Las Vegas back-to-back.

We had a little bit of everything in this race. There were only a couple of cautions for cause and yet it was an action-packed race from start to finish. Cars were wrecking on Lap 1 and they were trading paint and bumping each other the entire time until the checkered flag.

Christopher Bell gets a big win at Circuit of the Americas. Atlanta and now COTA. He got it done over two of the best in the business.

This race started with Ross Chastain driving deep into Turn 1 and causing a pileup. There was a lot of great green flag racing, too. Shane van Gisbergen led a lot of laps. Kyle Busch led the most in the race before he relinquished the lead due to a failing right rear tire.

When it comes to road course racing, that may have been the best race of the Next Gen era. The only other race that comes to mind for the Gen 7 car was last season’s Watkins Glen race.

Young Connor Zilisch, 18, made his Cup Series debut. It ended with him wrecking into his own teammate, Daniel Suárez, which led to his car catching on fire.

Christopher Bell wins on shortened COTA course

Before we go any further, congratulations to NASCAR and Speedway Motorsports. They made a change to the track, shortened it up by about a mile, and it was the perfect move. This might be the most racey road course on the schedule right now.

Drivers were able to make passes into the new Turn 6, 6A, and 6B all race long. Of course, driving deep into Turn 1 or Turn 20 also lets drivers make passes and cross-over moves.

When it comes to the 2025 season, Christopher Bell is on a heater. Go back to January in Tulsa where Bell won a Golden Driller. Then his Chili Bowl showdown with Kyle Larson. They traded wins in the World of Outlaws season-opening weekend. Last week in Atlanta, they were side-by-side when the caution came out.

It is barely even March and Christopher Bell appears to be ready to take that next step. Is this the season he wins five or more races?
