Christopher Bell to start at rear of NASCAR Cup field in Las Vegas amid quest for 4th straight win

After qualifying P13, Christopher Bell will go to the rear of the NASCAR Cup Series field on his quest for a fourth straight win. Bell’s team had to replace a throttle body and that is an unapproved adjustment.
Things will not be easy for Christopher Bell as he goes for his fourth straight. He is hoping to match Jimmie Johnson’s four-win streak from 2007. Of course, if he is able to capture the checkered flag on Sunday then we start talking about five straight, which hasn’t been done since Richard Petty.
Bob Pockrass of FOX Sports reported on the throttle body replacement. Joining Bell in the rear of the field will be John Hunter Nemechek. Nemechek qualified P30 originally.
I think that this is a setback. But it isn’t the worst thing that could happen to this No. 20 team. We will see how fast Bell is able to move up through the field. If he hasn’t made substantial gains by the end of the first stage, his hopes to win will likely be all but gone.
We have seen drivers like Kyle Larson and Christopher Bell move up through the field on these intermediate tracks. The car has to be capable of doing it, though.

Christopher Bell getting support from rival team owner
Christopher Bell has won on a superspeedway, a road course, and a one-mile short track. He expects to qualify better at Las Vegas this week on the intermediate track than he has so far this year.
During his media availability Friday afternoon, Bell was asked about Jimmie Johnson and the win streak. The Legacy Motor Club owner has messaged Bell after all three of his wins this season.
“So, it’s still the coolest thing in the world to me that I have Jimmie Johnson in my phone, and he has [reached out],” Bell said. “He has talked to me, he has sent me a text message after every win so far, and it is just, I’m still shocked every time I see his name pop up. I respect the heck out of him and just, it’s an honor to know that he thinks of me after the race to shoot me a text message. That’s so cool. So, yeah, he has, we have connected, yes.”
Christopher Bell will attempt to match Jimmie Johnson’s four-win streak. That would be incredible, not just for Bell but the sport. It would be a statement that Bell is a superstar and everyone, not just NASCAR fans, should take note.
