Christopher Bell wins at Atlanta as NASCAR throws controversial caution in overtime

Tonight, NASCAR did throw the caution on the last lap of the Cup Series race at Atlanta. That gave Christopher Bell the win in the end. We had another episode of Kyle Larson vs. Christopher Bell at the end of this race.
Just as Carson Hocevar shot the middle of the No. 5 and No. 20 cars, the caution came out. Josh Berry got into Denny Hamlin and then started to come across the field into Turn 3, creating the caution.
Kyle Larson was so close to his first drafting track win. Hocevar had his first win in his sights as a young Cup driver. In the end, Christopher Bell will walk away with the trophy.
To start this race, the Joe Gibbs Toyotas were nowhere to be seen. Bubba Wallace and Tyler Reddick were strong with Riley Herbst doing his best to keep up. But the real story of the first stage of Team Penske and specifically, Josh Berry of the Wood Brothers.
Berry picked up the Stage 1 win in an impressive performance. Surprisingly, Kyle Larson was the Stage 2 winner. It is his only stage win ever on a drafting track. Throughout the race, Carson Hocevar was poking his nose around. Folks were less than happy with him after the finish.
Christopher Bell was not involved in this race until the very end. Then he popped up and took the lead out of nowhere. One moment he was in front of Bubba Wallace and getting pushed and then he fell out of view. A few laps later, he was ready to take the lead again.

Christopher Bell vs. Kyle Larson shows up in NASCAR
For the first time this NASCAR season, we did get a Christopher Bell vs. Kyle Larson showdown. That rivalry has been sparked with Bell returning to racing on dirt tracks in his micro and midget sprint cars.
Bell beat out Larson in the micros at the Tulsa Shootout. Then Larson hit back in the midget at the Chili Bowl. When the two went to the World of Outlaws season opener, they traded wins with Larson coming out on top of the weekend.
Finally, in Week 2 of the NASCAR season, we had Bell vs. Larson in an overtime restart. Had this race been allowed to go to the green flag, it would have likely been another three-wide finish at the line.
Christopher Bell had his nose out in front of the field when the caution was brought out. That was all it took to secure the win for the 20 team. Carson Hocevar was there late with Kyle Larson, but they were too late.
