Look out! Christopher Bell has the NASCAR Xfinity Series pole for this afternoon’s race at Darlington Raceway. Bell won the fall race in the Xfinity Series at Darlington last year from the pole. Is he going to win his second in a row?

Brandon Jones will join his teammate, Christopher Bell on the front row. Joe Gibbs Racing has a great group of cars this weekend and should be in the mix.

We could see William Sawalich and Austin Hill drop to the rear after they hit the wall in qualifying. The Lady in Black is already causing issues.

Three JGR cars in the first two rows. That is going to give them quite the presence up front early in this race. We also have a pair of JR Motorsports drivers in Justin Allgaier and Carson Kvapil in that top-10 group. Haas Factory and Kaulig Racing have two drivers each. Then, there is Chase Elliott in the Hendrick Motorsports No. 17.

There will be a few minor variations for drivers making repairs. But this is how the times shook out on the track.

A couple of Cup Series talents in this race. There is going to be a lot of eyes on these Xfinity Series drivers. NASCAR officials gave the entire series a talk today before practice and qualifying.

Last week at Martinsville made this talk necessary. It was too much in that race from start to finish. 102 laps under caution. A last lap “bump and run” that was a hit and wreck from Sammy Smith. So, NASCAR has stepped in.

Will these drivers keep it together for Darlington? I’d hate to see the penalties that are given out if they don’t.

Christopher Bell having a hot season

This is the first time that Christopher Bell is racing in the Xfinity Series this season. Last year, he suited up at New Hampshire and Darlington. He won both of those races. Will the extra laps today lead to a better Sunday for Bell, too?

I think that there should be a focus on Chase Elliott today. He qualified well and, much like Bell, raced at Darlington last fall. He was P4 in that race. Elliott won the Charlotte Xfinity Series race last season as well.

Of course, there is a ton of talent among the Xfinity Series regulars. They aren’t going to just move over and let the Cup Series drivers run away with this race. But they have to watch out and be on their best behavior today.
