Cincinnati at Kansas State odds: Early point spread released, How to Watch
On Saturday, Cincinnati and Kansas State will square off in a pivotal Big 12 showdown. Kansas State will boast home-field advantage, hosting the Bearcats in the Bill Snyder Family Stadium.
Oddsmakers expect Kansas State to give its fans something to smile about. According to FanDuel, the Wildcats are 7.5-point favorites against Cincinnati. The over/under for the game is set at 52.5 points.
History is on Cincinnati’s side in the matchup. The Bearcats are 4-2 all-time against Kansas State. However, the Wildcats have gotten the best of the series lately, winning the last two meetings between the two teams. Most recently, Kansas State defeated Cincinnati 35-0 in 1996.
The Wildcats could’ve used some of that dominance on Saturday in its 24-14 loss to Arizona State. It was a sloppy night for the Wildcats, who turned the ball over three times and had mishaps on two field goal attempts.
In the loss, Kansas State quarterback Avery Johnson completed 24-of-his-40 passes for 258 yards while throwing two interceptions. He didn’t record a passing touchdown but did find the end zone once in the ground game.
After the game, Wildcats head coach Chris Klieman shouldered the blame for the loss.
“I told the guys, “I’m going to take ownership of this on my own,’” Klieman said. ”The whole program is on me. I didn’t do a good enough job with the game plan. I didn’t do a good enough job with the players.”
Kansas State isn’t the only team in a slump. On Saturday, Cincinnati suffered its third-straight loss, falling 34-17 to Iowa State. In the loss, the Bearcats committed a season-high 13 penalties, knocking them back 97 total yards.

Cincinnati’s defense struggled to find stops against the Hawkeyes, especially in key moments. Iowa State converted all three of its fourth-down attempts and finished the game with 386 total yards of offense.
While Cincinnati’s rushing attack looked strong, its passing game left much to be desired. In the loss, UC quarterback Brendan Sorsby recorded just 10 completions for 66 passing yards. On Saturday, he’ll look to regain a rhythm as he squares off against the Wildcats.
