Report: Browns rookie Mike Hall ‘expected to be arrested’ after domestic dispute
Cleveland Browns rookie defensive lineman Mike Hall is reportedly expected to be arrested, according to Zac Jackson of The Athletic. Jackson reports that the news comes after Hall was involved in a domestic dispute on Monday night.
“Source: Browns rookie DT Michael Hall is expected to be arrested following a domestic dispute Monday night,” Jackson posted on Twitter.
Mike Hall was drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the second round of this year’s NFL Draft. He was taken with the No. 54 overall pick. The Georgia native spent three seasons with the Buckeyes, before declaring for the NFL Draft.
He signed with Ohio State as a four-star recruit and the No. 61 overall player in the country in the class of 2021, per the On3 Industry rankings.
Hall appeared in 28 games at Ohio State across his three seasons with the Buckeyes, making 11 starts. He finished his career with 45 tackles, 10 tackles for loss and 6 sacks.
Hall’s best year came in 2023 when he started six games, finishing the year with 24 tackles. He was named third-team All-Big Ten that season.
Mike Hall appeared in 12 games in 2022 while battling injuries. He finished that season with 19 tackles.
Mike Hall rookie contract figures with Cleveland Browns revealed
Mike Hall signed his rookie contract with the Cleveland Browns back in June, landing a four-year deal worth $7.069 million. The deal included a signing bonus of $1.961 million.

There are no details yet as far as what transpired ahead of Hall being arrested or how it might impact his standing with the Cleveland Browns.
Cleveland is coming off of an 11-6 season in 2023. The Browns suffered a disappointing 45-14 loss in the wild card round of the playoffs last season.
Cleveland is led by head coach Kevin Stefanski, who has made the playoffs twice in four years with the Browns. Prior to coming to Cleveland, Stefanski was the offensive coordinator for the Minnesota Vikings.
Veteran Joe Flacco was the starting quarterback for the Browns down the stretch last season, including in the playoff matchup against the Houston Texans.
However, Deshaun Watson is now healthy and will resume his role as the Browns starting quarterback in 2024. Watson appeared in six games last season, passing for 1,115 yards and seven touchdowns. He also rushed for 142 yards and a score, before being lost for the season due to the injury.
