Cleveland Browns trade Amari Cooper to Buffalo Bills
The Buffalo Bills (4-2) have acquired receiver Amari Cooper from the Cleveland Browns (1-5), according to Jordan Schultz of FOX Sports.
Along with Cooper, the Browns are sending a 2025 sixth-round pick to the Bills in exchange for a 2025 third and 2026 seventh-round selection.
Cooper, 30, is on the move following a three-year stint with the Browns. Cleveland came into the season with Super Bowl aspirations but have spiraled out of control. The Browns are riding a four-game losing streak and have the league’s worst offense. They don’t appear to be heading in an upward trajectory, and now begin the process of trading off veteran assets such as Cooper.
Cooper, despite a slow start to the season, has remained Cleveland’s most productive wideout. In six games, he hauled in 24 receptions for 250 yards and two touchdowns. His 10.4 yards per catch is the lowest of his 10-year career. Still, the five-time Pro Bowler is just one year removed from compiling a career-high 1,250 yards and should demand the bulk of the targets in Buffalo’s offense guided by quarterback Josh Allen.

Bills add Amari Cooper into high-powered offense
The Bills moved on from Stefon Diggs in the offseason and have largely used a committee-like approach in replacing his production. Khalil Shakir, despite missing one game with an ankle injury, is Buffalo’s leading receiver with 249 yards, to go along with 20 receptions and two scores. Dalton Kincaid and Keon Coleman are the only other two pass catchers with more than 200 receiving yards this season. Buffalo has remained productive on offense, averaging 27.5 points per game.
They now add Cooper into the mix on the same day the New York Jets (2-4) acquired Davante Adams from the Las Vegas Raiders (2-4). The Bills are fresh off defeating their AFC East rivals, 23-20, in Week 6 on Monday Night Football.
