A Cleveland Guardians fan is the latest to go viral after getting caught eating during a baseball game.

This happens all the time in baseball. Broadcasts notice a fan enjoying their food and go all in on showing the fan. Earlier this season, a Los Angeles Angels fan was caught enjoying some cotton candy in style, for instance.

However, this Cleveland fan wasn’t caught by the broadcast. Instead, it was another nearby fan who needed to share with the world what was happening. This Guardians fan wasn’t just enjoying some food. They were eating mustard.

It appears that the fan is eating Bertman Original Ballpark Mustard, a type of brown mustard that comes from Cleveland. For locals, it is the beloved option. However, most are putting it on a hot dog when they go to the game and not just taking a spoon to the tub.

It really doesn’t seem like it should matter how good the mustard is, eating it straight seems more like a bad internet challenge that leads to warning labels on mustard than a tasty ballpark snack.

In the same vein, this Cleveland fan is almost reminiscent of college football fans at the Duke’s Mayo Bowl, where fans could be seen eating mayonnaise straight.

This happened on Tuesday night when the Guardians were hosting the Boston Red Sox. Cleveland blew an early lead in that game with Boston ultimately winning. It’s hard to think that this mustard eating fan wasn’t a part of the reason for that outcome.

Cleveland Guardians’ Will Brennan paid homage to the bird he killed

In May, Will Brennan of the Cleveland Guardians hit a line drive that hit and killed a bird. It was a shocking play that reminded fans of when Randy Johnson did the same thing while throwing a pitch.

Just a day after that happened, Brennan was playing again. In that game, he hit a big home run and wanted to celebrate that moment while paying homage to the dead bird.

Simply put, it’s a beautiful gesture.

As he rounded the bases, Brennan made a gesture with his hands to mimic a bird’s wings. It was a small, blink and you’ll miss it move, but it also showed that he was still thinking about that bird.

That line drive from Brennan that killed a bird came about a week after Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher Zac Gallen accidentally killed a bird while warming up for a game. So, maybe, flying around a baseball field isn’t the best idea for a small bird.
