There might not be a more chaotic conference in college football than the Big 12. Looking completely different than a few years ago due to realignment, Brett Yormark has built competitive balance throughout the 16-member league.
Kickoff is just under seven months away but FanDuel has released betting lines on who will win the 2025 Big 12 Championship. Two teams are tied for the top spot, being a founding member and one of the Big 12’s latest additions.
All 16 teams are listed, ranging from +500 all the way down to +6500. You can check out the full list of odds for the Big 12 in 2025 just below.
Kansas State Wildcats (+550)
One of the two favorites per FanDuel, Kansas State was a popular team to predict a season ago. Now, in the second year of Avery Johnson under center, expectations might be even higher.
Kansas State already has one Big 12 championship under Chris Kleiman, winning in 2022 but watching their opponent, TCU, make the College Football Playoff. This go-round would earn an automatic bid into the 12-team field.
Arizona State Sun Devils (+550)
![Kenny Dillingham](https://on3static.com/uploads/dev/assets/cms/2024/12/09070237/Kenny-Dillingham-1-1024x512.jpg)
There has not been a repeat Big 12 champion since the run Oklahoma went on under Bob Stoops and Lincoln Riley. The past five seasons have resulted in somebody different hoisting the trophy with Arizona State being the latest.
Losing Cam Skattebo after becoming a fan favorite will be Arizona State’s main storyline but quarterback Sam Leavitt is back for another year. Kenny Dillingham is hoping success carries over year-to-year and it’s not a one-and-done situation in Tempe.
BYU Cougars (+700)
Still a fresh face in the conference, only tiebreakers kept BYU out of last year’s title game. A different result and the season’s story could have been completely different despite earning 10 wins.
Another opportunity presents itself heading into 2025. BYU has not won a conference championship since 2007 when they were members of the Mountain West.
Baylor Bears (+700)
Not too long ago, Dave Aranda may have found himself on the hot seat. Results were not being produced for Baylor in Aranda’s fifth year.

But six consecutive wins have given the Bears some serious momentum. Contending for a Big 12 title is certainly a possibility and based on odds, they are tied for the second-best chance.
Kansas Jayhawks (+750)
![Kansas QB Jalon Daniels](https://on3static.com/uploads/dev/assets/cms/2024/06/27115822/Untitled-design-7-1-1024x538.png)
Jalon Daniels returning for another season was massive news for Kansas. Although he recently underwent knee surgery, Daniels should be back with plenty of time to spare ahead of the 2025 season.
Even after some success, being in the preseason top-five favorites to win the Big 12 is not too familiar for Kansas. Lance Leipold is hoping at some point, the program finds a breakthrough.
Texas Tech (+950)
Joey McGuire has famously said the Big 12 runs through Lubbock. But to this point, Texas Tech has yet to make a trek across the Lone Star State to Arlington for a conference crown.
A strong cycle in the NCAA transfer portal, specifically on the defensive line, certainly brings confidence to Lubbock. For now, oddsmakers are not quite there yet.
Iowa State (+1200)
The other Big 12 Championship game participant from a year ago, FanDuel does not like Iowa State to get back there. Still in the top half of the odds but barely squeaking in.
Matt Campbell has been in charge of one of the conference’s more consistent teams, having a winning record in nine of 11 seasons. Finally winning the Big 12 would be a massive accomplishment.
