The battle of the Wildcats is a Big 12 matchup that will not count towards the Big 12 record of either team due to the game being scheduled prior to Arizona joining the conference. A game on Friday night that Kansas State will host as seven-point favorites where each of the College GameDay crew thinks that they’ll cover in this electric matchup between two ranked teams.

LSU at South Carolina

Stanford Steve: LSU -7
Pete Thamel: South Carolina +7
Rece Davis: LSU -7

ESPN’s College GameDay will be present in Columbia on Saturday when LSU faces off against South Carolina. The first SEC game of the season for the Tigers that the Gamecocks are seven-point home underdogs for despite a dominant performance over Kentucky last weekend. A spread Thamel thinks they’ll cover but the remainder of the team disagrees with.

Alabama at Wisconsin

Stanford Steve: Wisconsin +16
Pete Thamel: Wisconsin +16
Rece Davis: Wisconsin +16

Alabama’s trip to Camp Randall Stadium represents the first true test and road game for new head coach Kalen DeBoer and his Crimson Tide squad. But his team is still 16-point favorites on the road in a game where each member of the College GameDay crew expects Badgers to cover the hefty spread.

Texas A&M at Florida

Stanford Steve: Florida +4 (and outright)
Pete Thamel: Texas A&M -4
Rece Davis: Florida +4

Florida kicks off SEC play by hosting Texas A&M in a game where there are plenty of question marks surrounding the quarterback position of the Gators between veteran Graham Mertz and true freshman DJ Lagway. Which comes with an assortment of picks from the crew with Thamel taking the Aggies to cover, Davis taking Florida to cover, and Stanford Steve taking the Gators to win outright.

Washington State at Washington

Stanford Steve: Washington State +4.5 (and outright)
Pete Thamel: Washington State +4.5 (and outright)
Rece Davis: Washington State +4.5 (and outright)

The Apple Cup lives on despite Washington leaving the Pac-12 Conference for the Big Ten. But despite the Huskies moving on, the whole College GameDay crew thinks the Cougars will hand new Washington head coach Jedd Fisch a loss on their home field in his first rivalry game with the program.

West Virginia at Pittsburgh

Stanford Steve: West Virginia -2.5
Pete Thamel: West Virginia -2.5
Rece Davis: West Virginia -2.5

The Backyard Brawl is another rivalry game this weekend rich in history, with the Mountaineers and Panthers facing off in a game that dates back to 1906. And for the 191st meeting of the two programs, the College GameDay crew expects West Virginia to cover in their fifth win over Pittsburgh in their last six meetings.

Colorado at Colorado State

Stanford Steve: Colorado State +7.5
Pete Thamel: Colorado State +7.5 (and outright)
Rece Davis: Colorado State +7.5 (and outright)

Rounding out College GameDay’s picks is a rematch from one of the most thrilling rivalry games from last season between Colorado and Colorado State. A double-overtime thriller last year that Colorado won in Boulder, but Thamel and Davis expect them to lose this season on the road in Fort Collins. With each member of the team picking the Rams to cover at home as well.
