ESPN’s College GameDay will be in Berkeley when the Golden Bears host Miami in their first ACC home game since joining the conference. A matchup that Davis believes the No. 8 ranked Hurricanes can win by more than 10 points versus the rest of the crew, thinking that Cal can keep the game close and cover their 10-point underdog spread.

Missouri at Texas A&M

Rece Davis: Texas A&M -2.5
Stanford Steve: Missouri +2.5
Pete Thamel: Texas A&M -2.5

Missouri visiting Texas A&M is the only matchup between ranked opponents in Week 6 and is a big one where both teams will look to keep their College Football Playoff hopes alive. Being played in one of the most hostile environments in college football, Kyle Field, which Davis and Thamel believe will work in favor of the Aggies. Picking them to cover the spread as 2.5-point home favorites over the Tigers.

Michigan at Washington

Rece Davis: Michigan +2.5
Stanford Steve: Michigan +2.5
Pete Thamel: Michigan +2.5

Both Michigan and Washington look a lot different since they last met in the most recent national championship, from their coaching staff down to their players. And despite the Huskies being the home team, all three College GameDay podcast hosts think that the Wolverines’ run game and stout defense will allow them to overcome being 2.5-point underdogs in Saturday’s rematch.

Auburn at Georgia

Rece Davis: Georgia -24
Stanford Steve: Auburn +24
Pete Thamel: Georgia -24

Many anticipate the Bulldogs entering Week 6 with a vengeance this Saturday following their valiant effort and narrow defeat against Alabama last weekend in an instant classic. But only Stanford Steve thinks that they still won’t be able to beat Auburn at home by more than 24 points despite the Tigers’ disappointing start to the season.

Iowa at Ohio State

Rece Davis: Ohio State -20.5
Stanford Steve: Ohio State -20.5
Pete Thamel: Iowa +20.5

Ohio State faces its biggest test of the season when they host Iowa in their Big Ten home opener, but the Buckeyes are still strong 20.5-point favorites and juggernaut national championship contenders. Who everyone but Thamel believes will cover the spread at home and defeat the Hawkeyes in dominant fashion.

Clemson at Florida State

Rece Davis: Clemson -14.5
Stanford Steve: Clemson -14.5
Pete Thamel: Clemson -14.5

Clemson and Florida State’s matchup started the season as one of the marquee games in the ACC, that was until the Seminoles got off to a disappointing 1-4 start. Now also without their starting quarterback in a matchup that all hosts believe the red-hot Tigers will win resoundingly in and cover their -14.5-point spread on the road.
