The Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers face off on Sunday in Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas. The active rosters for both teams feature players from some of the most storied college football programs in the nation, but also players from little-known collegiate teams.

No college football program boasts more players on Super Bowl LVIII rosters than the University of Oklahoma. They have six players competing for the Lombardi Trophy this weekend, while the University of Georgia follows closely behind with five.

Competing in this year’s Super Bowl are also several players from non-FBS programs. Players representing Harvard, Central Arkansas, Penn, Stephen F. Austin, South Carolina State, South Dakota, Fayetteville State, Missouri S&T and St. John’s (Minn.) are on the Chiefs and 49ers’ active rosters.

Here’s a breakdown of the college football programs with the most alumni on Super Bowl LVIII rosters, starting with Oklahoma.

The Oklahoma Sooners have six players competing to win Super Bowl LVIII this weekend. Four former players are on the Chiefs and two are on the 49ers.

The team’s alumni are Chiefs center Creed Humphrey, tight end Blake Bell, tackle Wanya Morris and long snapper James Winchester, as well as 49ers tackle Trent Williams and tight end Brayden Willis.

Georgia has put a ton of former stars into the NFL in recent years, so it’s no surprise that there are five on the 49ers and Chiefs rosters.

San Francisco has DL Robert Beal Jr, wide receiver Chris Conley and tight end Charlie Woerner. Kansas City has the other two – wide receiver Mecole Hardman and defensive end Malik Herring.

Florida Gators – 4

While the Florida Gators boast four alums competing for the Super Bowl, all four will either win it all or go home with nothing because they all play for Kansas City.

The Chiefs have running back La’Mical Perine, tackle Jawaan Taylor, wide receiver Kadarius Toney and punter Tommy Townsend. Toney has received harsh criticism this season due to some drops, and he wasn’t active for the team’s win over the Ravens, but he is active for Super Bowl LVIII.

Michigan Wolverines – 4

The Michigan Wolverines have a national championship title to their name this season, and soon, they can brag about their alum(s) winning a world championship.

The Kansas City Chiefs have one former Wolverine on the roster – defensive end Mike Danna. Meanwhile, the 49ers have three. Wide receiver Ronnie Bell, kicker Jake Moody and cornerback Ambry Thomas will work to bring San Fran a sixth Lombardi Trophy.

The MTSU alums are Darius Harris and Richie James for the Chiefs and Charvarius Ward for the 49ers. Penn State has tackle Donovan Smith on the Chiefs and Ji’Ayir Brown and Kevin Givens on the 49ers.

Rutgers has placed numerous alums in the NFL since joining the Big Ten, including Kansas City starting running back Isiah Pacheco, and San Francisco players Sebastian Joseph-Day and safety Logan Ryan. TCU also has a shot at the Lombardi with Lucas Niang, a tackle for the Chiefs, and linebacker Dee Winters and OL Matt Pryor on the other side of the field.
