Colorado at Kansas odds: Early point spread released, How to Watch
Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes are set to take on the Kansas Jayhawks in a Week 13 Big 12 Conference matchup.
The game, which will be played at GEHA Field and Arrowhead Stadium, the home of the Kansas City Chiefs, will feature two of the most exciting quarterbacks in the conference — Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders and Kansas’ Jalon Daniels.
Heading into game week, the 18th-ranked Buffaloes opened as a 3.5-point favorite over the Jayhawks, according to FanDuel Sportsbook, with an over/under point spread of 58.5 in the highly-consequential Big 12 showdown.
Given Kansas’ 17-13 upset of previously undefeated and No. 6 BYU on Saturday night, the Colorado game takes on added significance as the Buffs try to make their claim on the Big 12 Championship game. Colorado is now tied with BYU at 6-1 in conference, with the Buffs representing one of the hottest teams in the league having won four straight. That said, a loss to the Jayhawks could derail those aspirations.

While the two programs took an elongated break once the Buffaloes left the Big 12, 2024 will mark the 69th all-time meeting between Colorado and Kansas. Colorado has been dominant for large stretches of this rivalry, as the Buffaloes lead the all-time series 42-24-3.
The two programs were yearly opponents from 1948 through 2010 and while the series has historically favored Colorado — Kansas has won four of the last five matchups between the two teams from 2006 through 2010. While the game won’t be held in Lawrence, Saturday is supposed to feature a home environment for the Jayhawks, and fans would have to turn back the record books to 2004 to find the last time the Buffs beat Kansas in a road setting. Kansas has taken the last three matchups as the home team.
However, from 1982 through 2005, Kansas beat Colorado just four times as the Buffs amassed a 20-4 record over that time.
Both teams are unrecognizable in terms of personnel and leadership compared to the last matchup in 2010. Still, the rivalry aspect and long history of the matchup remain.
