An old Big 12 rivalry will be back for another year in Week 2. Colorado and Nebraska will square off once again on Saturday, and the updated point spread has been released.

The Cornhuskers are 7.5-point favorites over the Buffaloes, according to FanDuel. The over-under has been set at 58.5 for the matchup.

Colorado and Nebraska squared off at Folsom Field last year. Both programs were entering new eras as Deion Sanders took over at CU and Matt Rhule started his first year leading the Huskers. Ultimately, it was the Buffaloes who came away with the 36-14 victory.

Next week’s game marks an interesting matchup between two high-profile quarterbacks. Shedeur Sanders is coming off a huge 2024 debut as he looks to become a top NFL Draft pick, while Dylan Raiola made his first career start against UTEP after arriving as a highly touted recruit.

Colorado’s offense was the star of the show in the opener against North Dakota State. Shedeur Sanders threw for 445 yards and four touchdowns – three of which went to Travis Hunter, who had 132 yards, as well. Jimmy Horn Jr. led all Buffaloes players with 198 receiving yards as the Buffaloes totaled 504 yards of offense. That sparked the comeback as the Buffs defeated the Bison 31-26.

That game took place Thursday night and drew quite the audience. With an average of nearly 4.8 million viewers, it was ESPN’s most-watched Thursday opener since 2017.

Nebraska then took the field for the first time on Saturday, and Dylan Raiola looked strong out of the gate. He helped lead a scoring drive on his first sequence as a Cornhusker, and threw his first career touchdown pass in the second quarter.

Raiola shined in his collegiate debut. He completed 19 of 27 passes for 238 yards and two touchdowns, and also got a shoutout from Patrick Mahomes for his efforts before Heinrich Haarberg came in to seal Nebraska’s victory over UTEP.
