Despite the Cup Series talent in the field, Corey Heim is sitting on the pole for tonight’s Craftsman Truck Series race at Homestead. NASCAR talent galore in this race with Kyle Larson, Ross Chastain, and more.

Tricon Garage brought some suped-up Toyotas to the track today. Corey Heim locked up the front row with Tanner Gray starting P2. Those Tricon teammates have a lot to prove today and this season.

Heim already has two wins on the season. Can he compete with Larson, Chastain, and the regular Truck Series drivers to win tonight? Tune into FOX at 8:00 PM ET tonight to find out.

Last week, Corey Heim picked up the win at Las Vegas. It was his second of the season after winning the Daytona season-opener following the DQ of Parker Kligerman.

We know that Heim is top of the full-time Truck Series drivers. He is a development driver for 23XI Racing. Many in the sport believe that it is not if but when Heim gets to the Cup Series.

Last season, we saw Corey win six races. He was more than impressive. Still, he has not claimed that elusive Truck Series championship despite being so close the last two seasons. He is making statements early in the year already.

Kyle Larson is going to start P3. There will be immediate pressure from Larson on Heim and Gray. Yung Money is attempting to sweep all three races this weekend, Truck, Xfinity, and Cup Series. We call that the Kyle Busch sweep – a feat Rowdy has done twice at Bristol in his career.

Here is the full starting order from Bob Pockrass of FOX Sports. Should be quite a race tonight.

While Corey Heim is on the pole, this will not be an easy race. He has a lot of hungry drivers behind him, not to mention the best driver in NASCAR in Larson. However, we should look at some of those other drivers near the front.

Layne Riggs is starting P4. Even after his two wins last season, he might be the most underrated championship favorite this season. Then there is the rookie Gio Ruggiero. He continues to show speed each week. Ross Chastain and Grant Enfinger are there in the top-10 hoping they can move up in the race.

Chandler Smith is a driver to watch despite starting P15. He comes off of a season with Joe Gibbs Racing in the Xfinity Series. Make no doubt about it, when he gets into the groove he will be a threat to win races and likely the championship.

Corey Day is back for another ride in the Truck Series. He makes up the third HendrickCars.com truck in the race along with Rajah Caruth and Kyle Larson. Have fun with that one, spotters.
