Five wins this season for Corey Heim. Today he was dominant. Rain came in late but the race eventually restarted and Heim took the win. NASCAR, to their credit, got the race restarted with four laps to go for the longest Pocono race in Truck Series history.

Corey Heim swept the stages even after slipping back on the initial start of the race. It was another one of those races where Heim was too good. Christian Eckes couldn’t even keep up. The only driver to keep it close was Grant Enfinger.

Heim Time, the Five-Time and another perfect day for him as he takes 60 points and seven playoff points home after tonight. No one could catch him, not even on the late restart.

Corey Heim now has 31 playoff points. He is 11 points up on Christian Eckes. Right now, he has a clear path to the Championship 4 and if he keeps racking up wins, he’s going to be a historically dominant champion.

Christian Eckes also has nights like this, let’s not act like he doesn’t. Eckes recently led every lap of the Nashville Truck Series race. Three wins for Eckes compared to five for Heim, these two are putting on a show this season.

Corey Heim sweeps the stages

Despite starting on the front row, Corey Heim fell back on the initial start of the race. It was not a clear start for the 11 truck. Then we got to see what kind of speed Heim really had when he made his way to the front again.

Christian Eckes had gone out to an early lead. It wasn’t long before Heim would take over. He wasn’t going to have much of an issue winning this race tonight. In fact, it was one of his smoothest and easiest-looking victories of the season.

Weather delay can’t stop Heim from winning at Pocono

This race ran green for the first two stages. In the final 40-lap stage, Rajah Caruth brought out a caution flag. He got loose in a corner and went around. He did manage to avoid hitting the wall and went on to finish P10.

Corey Heim was cruising to a win when rain showed up and stopped this race with eight laps to go. The pause in the action gave Grant Enfinger hope that he could maybe pull a move and get the best of Heim.

After NASCAR made a decision to not count two caution laps on a botched restart, they then took those laps away. The race restarted with six laps to go. Despite their best efforts, Enfinger and Eckes had no chance at taking Heim down.

Corey Heim zoomed to the finish line, NASCAR got the race completed under green, and this was the longest Truck Series race ever at Pocono Raceway. We didn’t even have overtime, either.
