With just a few laps to go, Corey Heim decided he couldn’t win the race, so he would wreck Carson Hocevar instead and get his revenge. Hocevar spun Heim from the championship lead earlier in the race and all but ruined his chances of winning the NASCAR Truck Series title.

Grant Enfinger and Ben Rhodes were racing clean for the championship. Then Corey Heim pinched Carson Hocevar into the wall and wreck himself and his rival from the race. A stunning showing in the Truck Series championship race.

For all their efforts, Enfinger and Rhodes will have to endure at least one NASCAR overtime restart. Who will win the championship?

When the earlier incident happened, it was bad. Carson Hocevar took Corey Heim out of the championship, plain and simple. However, the retaliation is also a bad look. He slows up and turns into Hocevar to put him into the wall.

No only did he damage his own truck, he totaled Hocevar’s truck and Taylor Gray was also wrecked in the incident. Not only that, Enfinger was driving away from Rhodes and they had already decided to race it clean to the end. It just completely changes the outlook of the race and the circumstances at the end of it.

Multiple drivers in NASCAR have reacted to the incidents already. Tyler Reddick called Hocevar a “dumbass.” Josh Berry called it a “disaster.” Chris Buescher said it was “a pitiful lack of sportsmanship.”

So, definitely not a popular move no matter which driver you are. Hocevar and Corey Heim were not up to standards today. It will be very interesting what the response from NASCAR will be after this. On the biggest stage, these two drivers let their emotions get the better of them.
