Corey Heim wins Martinsville pole award, full Truck Series starting lineup revealed

Tonight, we are going to get another epic short track battle with Corey Heim and Ty Majeski locking up the front row at Martinsville. Heim will start on pole for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. These two are going to throw haymakers at one another.
You couldn’t ask for a better showdown. Corey Heim, the young Toyota prospect who wins races in bulk. Then you have Ty Majeski, the defending champion, who is a short track master. What will give first? The young talent or the Wisconsin short tracker?
Of course, this race also includes William Byron. You can’t count out the Cup Series star no matter where he is starting from.
Corey Heim on pole, Ty Majeski on the outside of the front row. What kind of action are we going to see tonight at Martinsville?
The full starting lineup, via Dustin Long of NBC Sports. It is going to be a fun night in Martinsville.
With two wins this season, Heim is making the case that he is the championship favorite. It had not worked out at Phoenix the last two years. But perhaps the third time is the charm?
Two wins already this season and two pole awards to match, Corey Heim has been fantastic once again. Tricon Garage knows they likely have the most talented full-time driver in the field. All they have to do is give him a fast piece on the weekends.
I think seeing this qualifying speed from Heim is great. He only had a single pole in 2024 after posting three in his rookie season in 2023. Heim is the one to watch tonight, but nothing is guaranteed.

Corey Heim struggled at Martinsville in 2024
Considering the fact he picked up two top-10 finishes at Martinsville in 2024, saying Corey Heim struggled at the track feels strange. But he did. When you look at what he was able to do the rest of the season and even in 2023, he struggled.
Heim has won at Martinsville before. But in 2024, he had finishes of P10 and P7. He wasn’t in contention for either race and it showed. Perhaps Tricon Garage has figured out the issue that Heim was having and has fixed it. Then again, maybe not.
I’ve got my eyes on Layne Riggs. He has been fantastic since the end of last season. Fresh off P5 and P2 finishes at Vegas and Homestead, Riggs looks poised for another strong run. A short track like Martinsville definitely plays into his strengths.
A short track Friday night in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Will Corey Heim finish the race where he is starting it?
