Cowboys executives Charlotte Jones, Jerry Jones Jr. evaluated by medical staff after vehicle struck by barricade
A vehicle carrying Charlotte Jones and Jerry Jones Jr., the daughter and son of Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, was involved in an accident prior to Sunday night’s game against the San Francisco 49ers, Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported.
Charlotte Jones serves as the executive vice president for the Cowboys while Jerry Jones Jr. is the chief sales and marketing officer and the executive vice president. They were hit by a rising barricade while entering Levi’s Stadium and were evaluated by medical staff.
Both have since made their way to the visiting owners suite for the game. Thankfully, it doesn’t seem like either is seriously injured as a result of the accident. The Cowboys and 49ers have since gotten underway and San Francisco holds a 3-0 with 4:13 left in the first quarter.
This marks a big game for Dallas, which is coming off of a 47-9 loss to the Detroit Lions two weeks ago. The Cowboys are 3-3 so far this season and all three of their wins have come on the road.

Rico Dowdle injury update: Dallas Cowboys make final decision on RB, per report
Running back Rico Dowdle is out for Sunday’s Week 8 road tilt against the San Francisco 49ers (3-4), per Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
Dowdle is a late addition to the inactives list after arriving to Levi’s Stadium with an illness.
With Dowdle sidelined, it will be the Ezekiel Elliott and Dalvin Cook show in the Cowboys’ backfield. The latter is making his team debut after signing to the practice squad ahead of the season opener. Dowdle’s absence will be felt, as he is the team’s leading rusher this season.
Dallas has rushed for an NFL-low 463 yards, a 77.2 average per game. Dowdle has seen the lion’s share of the carries, rushing for 246 yards on 4.2 yards per carry. The Cowboys have just two rushing touchdowns this season, one coming from Elliott and the other from quarterback Dak Prescott.
On3’s Nick Geddes contributed to this report.
