CeeDee Lamb is having a record year. After tallying 11 receptions for 151 yards and a touchdown in the Dallas Cowboys’ 49-17 win over the New York Giants on Sunday, the standout wide receiver became the first NFL receiver to catch at least 10 passes for a minimum of 150 yards in three consecutive games.

His outlandish performance earned him NFC Offensive Player of the Week honors. It’s the first weekly honor for Lamb, the fourth-year Cowboy. And it’s also the first time any Dallas receiver has earned the honor since Amari Cooper did so in 2018.

“It’s very meaningful,” Lamb said on Thursday. “It obviously means I’m doing something correct, and all of the hard work is paying off. But the job is still not done.

“It’s not really much I can think about right now, especially in this next week of coming up to a game… I can’t really reflect on it right now. I can just put my head down, grind, continue to do better, be better for myself and my team.”

Lamb’s most recent performance is just a drop in the bucket. The former Oklahoma standout boasts 68 receptions for 975 yards and four touchdowns this season. His 975 yards are the third-most in the NFL, trailing only  Tyreek Hill (1076) and AJ Brown (1,005).

Lamb is simply happy to be in the position he’s worked so hard to reach.

“Being the player and the guy they depend on to make a play and get a first down, get us a touchdown,” Lamb said. “For me, to be able to showcase that, it doesn’t get any better than that. Like I said, I trust in myself, I trust in my ability. We’re gonna keep this rolling.”

CeeDee Lamb praises his quarterback

Of course, Lamb isn’t looking to take all the credit. The 6-foot-2 wideout also praised quarterback Dak Prescott, who is having a landslide campaign, as well. Prescott has amassed 2,415 yards and 17 touchdowns while only throwing six picks this season.

Lamb doesn’t take his partner’s talents for granted.

“We’ve been together for four years now and we’ve always got spurts of each other,” he said. “But now, we’re kind of putting a season together and we’re starting to get hot at the same time, both of us. It’s amazing for the offense and amazing for us. We just gotta keep it moving and keep adding in our pieces.”

The dynamic duo will need to put their connection to good use again this weekend. On Sunday, the Cowboys will face off against the Carolina Panthers at 1 p.m. ET.
