The rain just wouldn’t go away. The NASCAR Truck Series race at Pocono Raceway is under a red flag delay for rain. There were random showers throughout the morning and early afternoon. They returned with nine laps to go in the race.

While everyone hoped that the NASCAR Truck Series could avoid any more showers, the skies opened up once more. Another weekend impacted by rain.

Qualifying was canceled earlier today. It put Christian Eckes on pole to start this race. It was Corey Heim who dominated the race, though. This race would have been over a lap before this if it was the usual 60 laps, instead of 70.

UPDATE: Good news, NASCAR was able to get this race restarted. There were eight laps to go. Then NASCAR attempted to restart the race and ran two caution laps. At first, they weren’t going to count them, but on second thought, they decided to count them.

Eventually, this race was restarted with six laps to go. NASCAR was patient and waited to see if they could get the track dry enough. This race ended under green.

Corey Heim dominates NASCAR Truck Series at Pocono

This race ran green for the first two stages. In the final 40-lap stage, Rajah Caruth brought out a caution flag. He got loose in a corner and went around. He did manage to avoid hitting the wall and went on to finish P10.

Corey Heim was cruising to a win when rain showed up and stopped this race with eight laps to go. The pause in the action gave Grant Enfinger hope that he could maybe pull a move and get the best of Heim.

After NASCAR made a decision to not count two caution laps on a botched restart, they then took those laps away. The race restarted with six laps to go. Despite their best efforts, Enfinger and Eckes had no chance at taking Heim down.

Corey Heim zoomed to the finish line, NASCAR got the race completed under green, and this was the longest Truck Series race ever at Pocono Raceway. We didn’t even have overtime, either.
